Where do you start when faced with building your dream bike? To render the ideas onto a blank document and turn them into a finished article has required lots of late nights and pondering over the decisions. Every detail of the Rhigos is there for a reason, from the head tube right down to the replaceable dropouts on the frame.

The bike has been designed to be stiff, light and comfortable. Stiff, because nobody wants any wasted energy especially after all the winter training. Light weight, because every pedal stroke propels you and the machine forward, which is infinitely easier on a Light Stiff machine. Comfort, well this is the next performance enhancing big news don’t you know. There is no point in a frame being so stiff that when the rider gets off the bike you are unable to sit down afterwards, but you will be fresh and eager for the next adventure.

The Rhigos is the only bike we offer in three finishing packages to suit different pockets. SRAM Red, Force and Rival have been chosen for their philosophy on design, form and function. They are the only road groupset manufacturers who are firmly committed to the use of double chainrings for all areas of riding. This offers massive benefits in weight, function and the range of useable gears for the rider. Finishing kit comes courteousy of either 3T or our own Me components along with puncture resistant tyres from Vittoria and wheel sets from Mavic. Our Rhigos frame is constructed using a sophisticated layup of high-strength and high-modulus fibres, which are altered throughout different frame sections to fulfil specific design objectives. It is this unique composite layup technology combined with the advanced moulding process that eliminates un-needed material in the production in-turn allowing us to produce a much lighter frame.

This basically means it has been designed to have increased stiffness where needed for optimal power transfer, great handling and to provide excellent vibration dampening for all-day comfort.

HM: (High Modulus) Describes the high stress to strain ratio that the carbon fiber achieves under tension.

3K: (K = Thousand) Describes the way in which the individual carbon fibers are bundled/woven together in thousands, usually referring to the visible layer.

UB: (Ultra Bonded) Describes the large surface-to-surface contact area in which each lug is pressure bonded to its tube.

SL: (Superlight) Describes the molding and layering technology used to reduce overall frame weight.
